Request for Proposal

Request for Proposal

A health care administration Request for Proposal (RFP) assists a health plan in gathering competitive information from potential third-party administrators or insurers. An RFP is a useful tool when the marketplace changes, when a health care plan makes major changes to its benefits or, as an employer, the health care plan makes an acquisition. An RFP is detailed and includes questions that ask an insurer or administrator to exhibit its capability, quality and success.

Proving Capabilities

The RFP requires a potential administrator to prove its abilities to:

  • Control cost
  • Manage plan benefits
  • Demonstrate its services
  • Provide referrals from clients

Premier facilitates the development, distribution and analysis of RFPs on behalf of our clients.
