On March 12, 2013, Premier hosted a Health Care Reform Seminar at Sonoma Grill on Main Street.
Premier’s guest speaker, Robert Patterson, a partner in Jaeckle Fleischmann’s Employee Benefits and Health Care practice groups, presented current information on Health Care Reform. The Affordable Care Act (Health Care Reform) affects employers of all sizes. Looking at fees, taxes and potential penalties, employers have a lot of questions. Premier’s guests were greeted upon arrival, asked to sign in, mingle and settle in for lunch.
At noon, we got started with Kristy Long introducing real and potential costs and responsibilities that go into effect during 2013 and 2014. Kristy introduced Rob Patterson who provided an in-depth overview of these current health care reform topics including the employer mandate, affordability, minimum value and rules regarding full-time employees The audience responded to the complexity of the topic and were given the opportunity to have their questions answered by Rob and Kristy.
When the presentation was over, Premier felt confident that everyone left knowing more about Health Care Reform and more about what they will have to do in the coming year.
